I'm experiencing some unusual behavior when I'm working in longer sequences (30 plus minutes). I notice that when I have a long audio dissolve on a music track, say a 5-second fade, I hear 4 or 5 popping sounds during the dissolve. The popping goes away when I render the dissolve.
I've tried new user settings. I've trashed MC State settings. I've tried it out on two different Mac Pros. I've tried with the media on an internal RAID5 array. I've tried with the media on an external RAID 5 array connected via USB 3.0. The video is all SD, so shouldn't be taxing the system too much. Still popping in all cases.
Never noticed this with real-time audio effects in 15+ years on Media Composer. Any ideas?
