Hi folks, Thanks for your help so far....
I am being challenged on this edit by being sent lots of different archive footage formats and this isn't my usual experience so apologies for asking yet again as I have tried to source information from the net but it often assumes some prior knowledge which is missing with me.
I wish to import a file that I play on a VLC player and is a wmr file into media composer 7!
EITHER by importing it the long way into AVID via the import process (I guess I might need to transfer it into a different file first? (Any ideas how) or play with the settings but not sure whch is best. OR I could open a bin and go to File and choose AMA Link and find my file and import it that way. But I tried and it said UNable to link to file or volume. You may need to download and install the AMA plug in from the Avid Ama website. See console for more information. There was then a button that said "Go to AMA Plug-ins website" which I chose. Then it said AVidMediaComposer is unable to open. (I am linked to the net so cant see why) Any ideas around these hurdles? Thanks in advance!
