My current version of MC is 8.4.4 that was updated via a patch (in Avid Applications Manager) in Windows 8.1 some months ago.
THEN I upgraded to Windows 10, and now whenever I try to update via AAM or full-install download, I get an error message that "No valid sequence could be found for set of patches."
I just got off the phone after two hours with Avid Tech Support - and no joy.
Here's the problem - I can neither uninstall the current version nor reinstall any previous, current or new version.
Same error as above.
I even tried deleting the Avid registry entries and renaming the Avid folders, and I still get this stupid error preventing me from upgrading. This is just infuriating!
Whatever I do, Avid somehow detects a previous installed version and gives the above error.
When trying to upgrade to 8.5, I get the error that Avid cannot remove the older version.
One suggestion was that an important file was stored away in Windows.old when the Windows 10 upgrade took place.
For the love of God - HOW do I fully uninstall Avid so I can do a clean reinstall?!
