So i bit my lip and updated to 8.5 and OSX 10.11.3... and much to my dismay....
MC is very slow in every regard. Just clicking on a clip in a bin takes about 3 seconds to load in the source monitor (and a 1 sec pinwheel even pops up. Sometimes white text "FATAL ERROR" is seen on black screen while attempting to scrub. Forget even trying to edit it's so gut wrenching. Every click takes 2-3 seconds to respond.
-turning off AJA IOXT Hardware has no effect at all.
On the positive side. As soon as i engage PL (Play Length Toggle) it clears everything up. Instant response loading, scrubbing, and playing.
I'm ok with that for now but trying to watch down a full cut without pausing will be impossible since PL is on.
Hope someone can provide some insight.
