I got an aaf of an Avid seq from another editor, along with a Quicktime export of the same. Quicktime was h.264 directly from timeline. Avid was MC 8.5.x Mac.
The project was 1080p23.976, sequence was 23.976 fps and all media was DNxHD36 in his Avid. Some shots were stock, at 29.97fps but imported into Avid. These shots show the 'frame rate' icon on them.
The Quicktime export of this seq does not match the AAF in duration. There are extra frames after the 29.97fps shot. It's almost as if the export process 'interpreted' the 23.976 as 29.97.
If exported as 'same as source' this issue doesn't happen. Only if directly exported as h.264. Unfortunately I cannot duplicate the issue as that Avid isn't near me.
Anyone observe something like this?
