Hello, I have a few questions about a specific job I have in front of me. I need the ability to import the audio recordings of a public figure (an audio book sold on amazon, interviews posted on Youtube and cbs' website, etc.). They are the recordings of a public figure who is losing the ability to speak. I need to edit these recording for basic audio (increase and decrease gain), but most importantly to make edits and rearrange the words and sentences into new and more useful communication for everyday use.
Although the job is mostly to create audio recordings, I am considering buying the latest Avid MC becuase some of video of the client may be useful as well, and I want the ability to do some basic video editing.
My questions are: There is a lot of material to go through, and something like Scriptsync would be very helpful. It is my understanding that Scriptsync is not suppported by Avid MC any longer.
First, is there any way for me to use Scriptsync on Avid, or is there a similiar tool that would help me to locate certain words in a boatload of material?
Second, Is Avid MC even the best software for me to be using considering the job in front of me?
Third, Is it quite easy to import these files (audio book, youtube recordings) into Avid, make basic edits, and export audio only as MP3, or other industry standard audio file?
Thanks for any and all help!
