Saving old clip onto new drive

Hi All,

Trying to save an old clip onto a new drive so that the original bin and drive no longer needs to be engaged when I need the clip. Is that possible or does the orinal bin always have to available to read the clip? The original clip is on an external drive that is full.  trying to save it to a new project on a new drive.
