Regathering media, sequences and projects

Hi-

I'm running Avid media soft 2.7.7 please don't laugh! My question is this: I have media files, sequences and projects on my external drive. They were saved thanks to a back up. But my problem is how do I get these INTO the Avid again to restore these sequences and projects?
