Subclips with Motion Effect

It's possible to create subclips from motion effect clips with synced audio. 
But once the motion effect is a subclip, it changes it's behaviour, no motion effect icon anymore, EDL / consolidate / dupe detection doesn't work right because the information about the speed change is lost. 
This could be changed, I think. I don't think it's a feature request, more like a bug repair request.
