Wondering if I could get some advice on an issue I'm trying to workout.
I'm getting cap files from a captioning company and I'm putting them into MacCaption to add V-chip information and convert them to AAF's. Then, after importing the AAF into Avid, and dropping it into the data track, I export an XDCAM MXF Op1a with all the metadata included in one nice MXF file.
My problem is that for some reason MacCaption wont add V-chip to some of the cap files, while others work fine. I'm not doing anything different and all of the cap files came from the same company and are for the same job. Right now I'm having them remake the cap files that were giving me issues. Really hoping that fixes the problem. Otherwise, I may be out of ideas.
Is there anyone out there that has run into this or can offer me any advice? I'll let you know if remaking the files made a difference or not.
