Media Composer - Trial period is not available

Hi everybody,

I'm new to Avid and editing and just downloaded the Media Composer Trial version and installed it (MacBook Air, OS 10.11.6). But unfortunatly I cannot activate the trial version. It tells me, that the Trial period is not available.

I looked up the specifications and my MacBook Air and my OS should work with the new MC. Any idea what I did wrong or why it is not working?
