I'm new to this program and I can't figure out why I can't use any of the buttons at the top of the timeline menu bar or under the monitors or in the command palette. An example is that I have the link toggle selection on and I'd like to turn it off but I can't. Why? Is this because it is a trial version or am I just really missing something? Is there a good tutorial for the most recent MC8 that can explain things for me. I have found some youtube videos but nothing addresses this problem.
Please help me!
...OMG I found the 1 tiny button that allowed me to use these buttons. "Active Palette" in the command palette. Wow.
