best way to import MPEG-4 into Avid?

Hi there,

I just shot 77 MPEG-4 cutaways with a little Sony RX-100 and now want to import into my Avid project DNxHD 220.

I'm using Avid Media Composer 8.5.  I don't suppose the new 8.6 would help, would it?

If not, what's my best strategy for getting these files into Avid?  I googled the question and I'm suspicious that all the answers are from people who want to sell me extra software.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
