Hello everyone,
I've just driven from Los Angeles to Savanna, Georgia to start a 6 week job. I've brought my Mac Pro (early 2009) with me. It was working perfectly when I left Los Angeles on Saturday morning. Now, of course, when I try to launch Media Composer I get a crash when MCState is initializing.
I've unistalled 8.5 and reinstalled. Same issue.
I've uninstalled and then installed and earlier version. Same issue.
I'm now downloading 7.x in the hopes that will help.
I usually run a client monitor thru a BM card. I'm currently trying to run without a client monitor now. I thought that might be the problem, so I uninstalled the BM Desktop Video Driver. Still the same problem.
I checked that my audio is set to go out the Line Out port from the back of the Mac.
I've repaired permissions, and rebuilt the directory. I'm honestly just about at wit's end here, as I have producers and director's over my shoulder wondering why their star editor from Los Angeles can't get his machine working.
Thoughts?
