I know this is a shot in the dark but I have a client that uses the Screenly Raspberry Pi digital signage. They are requesting .H264 MPEG4 files. I have asked for more detail but all they can provide me is from the FAQ page of the Screenly website which reads
Screenly Pro supports all major video formats and automatically encodes them for the best possible playback fidelity on your screen.
Screenly OSE (or the underlying video player, omxplayer) is pretty picky about video content. In order for videos to be properly played, they must be encoded as H264 MPEG4 videos. If not, it’s likely that the videos won’t show up at all.
As long as you properly encode your videos, Screenly OSE can handle 1080p videos beautifully."
Short story long...nothing I send them seems to work, has anyone encoded for this software before? If so what were your settings?
Thanks!
