I am getting reports from 5 editors working on two shows, different systems, on local, and shared storage about this strange issue.
There are dark "selects" I'll call them on audio clips. Zooming in and out will temporarily remove them, but occasionally it will look like there is a cut depending on how close the timeline is zoomed in.
The audio files were imported into AVID on a PC initially, when this issue surfaced we moved the workflow to Mac but it was creating the same issue. Both systems are running 2018.12.6 Ultimate. So far only the assistant ediotrs computer is free of this issue... for now :)
One of the editors informed me they've seen this before in other facilities and they've just ignored it as it seemed harmless.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this?
