Having heard , and seen , so much about all the marvelous speed that Resolve renders to DNx I wanted to do a test for myself on my own PC system , this system transcodes FS 700 media to DNx 185 x in about 25 % of realtime so about 45 minutes for a 3 hours card, this in the background so I can edit in Avid meanwhile.
That exact same 3 hours card renders out in about 90 minutes to this same DNx 185x codec in Resolve latest 12 or something with CPU usage at about 75 % on all 12 cores and GPU usage about 45 % .
So, about double the time as Avid is doing it , now I know
