Audio TC import bug in MC 8.5

Hi everyone,

I've been experiencing a weird issue while importing Audio in Media Composer 8.5.2.

Something that didn't happen in 8.4.5.

When we get audio mix from our sound studio, we import it and put it on our online sequence and output our master.

In this case we have these audio clip specs :

AUDIO TC is 29.97 drop frame, starts at 00;59;58;00 and ends at 01;22;24;00. Duration is 22;26;00

In 8.4.5, imported in 29.97 drop frame, those specs stays. Everything's fine.

In 8.5.2, imported in 29.97 drop frame, it says that it starts at 00;59;57;29 and ends at 01;22;23;29. Duration is 22;26;00.

So we were wondering if the TC is sliding off 1 frame or something.

When comparing the 2 imports on a timeline, we found out it was Avid creating 1 frame at the start and remove one at the end. When we place the two imports at the exact same TC, it is sync. So the TC isn't sliding.

In our case, we can adjust the clip on our timeline before the ultimate output or import the clips on another computer with MC 8.4 but we wish we could avoid that..

Anyone else have had that issue? Does Avid know about it? We hope this gets fixed soon.

Thanks !
