RENDER SETTINGS OK?

I just upgraded from 7 to the latest version of 8.  My client airs 720 59.94, but shoots everything 1080 23.976.  Therefore, I ama link and transcode their footage in a 1080 23.976 project and then open the transcoded bins in a 720 59.94 Project for edit and output.

When I place a clip on to the timeline, I get a weird ghosted frame issue.  If I open the motion effects editor, I can fix it by switcing it to BOTH FIELDS.  This is a bit of a pain in the ***.

In my previous version of avid, I had everything default to BOTH FIELDS (a real timesaver).  Unfortunately, I forgot how to change this.  My best guess is to modify RENDER SETTING(S).  Here's what I changed:

RENDER SETTING - CURRENT

IMAGE INTERPOLATION:  Advanced (Polyphase)

TIMEWARPS RENDER USING:  Both Fields

MOTION EFFECTS RENDER USING:  Both Fields

RENDER COMPLETION SOUND:  Render Sound

USE FRAME BLENDING IN MOTION ADAPTERS:  Unhecked

I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T CHANGE ANY SETTING THAT WILL HURT ME LATER (IN THE TRANSCODE PROCESS FOR EXAMPLE).  DO THESE SETTINGS LOOK GOOD TO YOU?

Thanks!
