First time posting here!
I’m having some issues transcoding footage via AMA from the new sony PXW-FS7 in avid. (I have the latest plug-in by the way - PDZK-MA2_v3.40)
Nearly every card I transcode has a clip that causes avid to throw up this error: 'Exception: A serious error has occurred! It is recommended that you immediately save your work and restart the system' (FYI this doesn't fix the issue)
Eventually I can narrow down which clip is causing the issue, and not transcode it, but it’s real time waster to have to sit there while avid transcodes, as opposed to ‘set and forget’ overnight. Anyone else had this issue? I’ve tried to find a consistent pattern in clip durations/timecode, but so far they are all different. Avid version is MC 8.3.
The problem clips playback via ama without throwing up this error, and I have managed to transcode the problem clips via resolve without issue, so my instincts tell me this is probably a MC 8.3 bug of some sort. I would really like to use avid instead of resolve to do all the transcoding/relinking for simplicity, but this one bug is really messing with that plan!
