Greetings,
I've run into an issue that is preventing me from working at all. I had been working on a project locally for a while now and haven't needed our shared storage. Now I do need access to shared storage but I can't because I keep getting an error stating "You don't have access to MediaIndexer. Do you want to continue in Disconnected Client Mode? If you do, you won't have access to shared media drives"
I had been getting this error previously but I was working locally so it didn't matter. I've called Avid licensing support thinking that I needed a non-Interplay option updated for my dongle but they told me there is no such thing. They said I need to call Avid Tech support (which I did and have not heard back from yet). They said there is something that the user can do but he didn't know what it was.
Does anyone know how to work without a MediaIndexer? In the past when I first saw this message tech support told me to use the command WorkgroupOverride On. This let's one work locally without MC looking for an Interplay but this doesn't help when one is on shared storage.
