There is some conflicting information in the Knowledge Base which is confusing me.
Which is the correct Nvidia driver to use for Media Composer 8.5?
In "Media Composer System Requirements" (http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/Media-Composer-System-Requirements), under GPU Driver Support, it states that I can use either 347.52 or 340.84.
However, in "Avid Media Composer Documentation and Version Matrix" (http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/en267087), the only GPU Driver listed is 347.52.
Additionally, the official 8.5 ReadMe (http://resources.avid.com/SupportFiles/attach/README_Avid_Editor_v8.5.pdf) states 347.52 as the only Nvidia Driver Support under the Compatibility Chart.
To boot, I'm using a Quadro K2200 graphics card with my P500, and currently 340.84. A search for 347.52 turned up this GeForce driver (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/81877/en-us) which I'm assuming is not compatible with Quadro graphics cards, although a second result does seem to correspond with Quadro (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82061/en-us)
In short, my question is: should I stay with 340.84 as I have been using with 8.4.2., or should I upgrade to 347.52? I plan to upgrade to 8.5 regardless. Are there specific advantages to one over the other, is it a choice between the two or is the latter now the required driver for 8.5?
