I have footage filmed with Sony FS700. It was shot at 4k and handed to me in HD
mov. files
On importing the files, a dialogue box opened saying:
The file you imported has a video resolution that differs from the that selected in Media Creation settings. I selected "Change the video resolution to the video resolution selected in Media Creation settings". The resolution of the file is Pro Res wheras in media creation DNxHD 185
Once the file was in the bin I rt clicked on that file hit Transcode and DNxHD 185 ticked convert video and then hit transcode. I then got the message:
All clips were skipped during the Consolidate/Transcode operation. Is that because Avid imported them as DNxHD 185 so nothing needed transcoding?
I'm ready to import this project now but need to check first that my workflow is correct. Do I need to Transcode or ?
Incidentally I did download the Sony plug-in PDZK-MA2 v3.32. My version of Media Composer is 8.2. Im not sure
