Hello, this post is for owners of cards such as the Nvidia K5200, or anyone who might have a triple monitor setup. This card, my card, allows for 4 simultaneous outputs. I currently have 2 x 27" monitors. I am wondering: what if I add a third identical 27" monitor to my setup, and I use the third monitor as a permanent 'full screen playback' thus solving my problem of how to have a dedicated viewing monitor right there beside my dual monitor setup. Wondering if anyone is doing this, or if this process is even supported! Since I dont yet have the three monitors, I dont know if, in the Full Screen Playback settings, you can select/choose from 1, 2 or 3 as to which one gets the playback.
In my mind, I am thinking that placing a 3rd monitor on my desktop and using it to show my full screen playback is a good solution to the problem of not wanting to plunk down 15,000 on a panasonic or sony 4K production monitor that would connect via SDI. I should be able to get perfect sync and latency-free playback using Full Screen Playback, right? I'd rather put my funds into a third computer monitor plus a 65 inch 4K OLED for client viewing and color mastering.
Thanks very much in advance for your replies!
